Affiliate Marketing Case Study $0 – $10,000 in 6 Months (SEO & Paid Traffic)

I’m pumped to dive into the latest developments of our ongoing project – the $10,000 a month challenge.

In case you missed our last video, let me quickly recap: we’re embarking on a six-month journey to take a website from zero to $10,000 in monthly revenue. The website was purchased for $3000 for its nice aged domain and its already existing content. All of this could be started for much less by following the steps in the Affiliate Marketing Certification Course.

Is it ambitious? Absolutely. But is it achievable? We’re determined to find out.

Before I delve into the updates, let me emphasize that this endeavor isn’t just about showcasing success. It’s also about shedding light on the sheer effort and dedication required to build a real affiliate marketing business online.

There’s no guarantee of hitting the jackpot, but I am committed to sharing every step of the journey with you. So, if you’re intrigued by the prospect, don’t forget to subscribe to the channel and hit the like button to show your support!

Now, let’s dive into the progress we’ve made over the past week.

SEO & Enhancing Website Functionality

Upon acquiring the website from Flippa, it was obvious from SEMRush there was a need for significant improvements.

Think of it as a digital real estate flip – breathing new life into a neglected online asset. My initial focus was on enhancing website functionality, and here’s what I’ve accomplished so far:

  • Ad Widgets Integration: I’ve implemented ad widgets using the Advanced Ads plugin for WordPress. While I am yet to see revenue from these ads, it’s a crucial step in the monetization strategy.
  • SEO Enhancement: Leveraging the Rank Math SEO plugin, we’ve optimized our content for better search engine visibility. This free plugin provides invaluable insights and recommendations to bolster our SEO efforts.

Content Optimization and Monetization:

  • Content Updates: We’ve revamped the five main sales pages on the website, refining their structure and optimizing meta descriptions for improved SEO.
  • Creation of Landing Pages: Using templates from the PowerHouse Affiliate library, we’ve developed two high-converting landing pages. These pages serve as focal points for our paid advertising campaigns.

Paid Advertising Initiatives:

  • Google Ads Campaigns: I’ve launched two Google Ads campaigns directed at our new landing pages. While it’s still early days, I’ve already generated promising results.

Strategic SEO Analysis:

Recognizing the importance of technical SEO, I enlisted the expertise of an SEO specialist through Upwork. By analyzing the website’s performance and identifying areas for improvement, we’re laying the groundwork for long-term success. First step is to improve the speed and core web vitals which currently fail on Google Pagespeed Insights.

Steps Taken Since Feb 24 2024.

  • Added ad widgets bottom of posts & sidebar (Advanced Ads Plugin)
  • Added Rank Math SEO Plugin
  • Added “Active” banners to top of all posts (Chat GPT)
  • Analyzed pages with most traffic to see if there are monetization opportunities (Analytics/Console)
  • Added lead capture form on sidebar of all posts (Aweber)
  • Updated 5 Main “sales” pages of the Website to focus more heavily on the top 5 service/product Keywords.
  • Added 2 of 4 New Pillar pages (PA landing pages to sell the service with popunder optins)
  • Created 2 Google ads search campaigns for the new landing pages (reference Craig’s video)
  • Posted a Job on Upwork for SEO Tech analysis & Repair
  • Analyzed results and hired new SEO “specialist”

Next Steps:

As we proceed with our endeavor, here’s what lies ahead:

  • Diversified Advertising: In addition to Google Ads, we plan to explore advertising opportunities on platforms like Bing and Facebook to broaden our reach.

In conclusion, while the road to $10,000 a month may be challenging, I am committed to navigating every twist and turn along the way. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue this exciting journey.
